Irene Orovou

Eirini Orovou graduated in 2000 from the Nursing Department of University of Thessaly, Larissa and in 2007 from the Midwifery Department of the University of West Attica. She obtained a Master’s degree in Public Health from the European University of Cyprus and now she is a PhD student in the Department of Midwifery, University of West Attica in Greece. She is also a member of the Midwifery Laboratory of University. She has worked as a Nurse at the IASO General Hospital of Athens and at the HYGEIA Hospital of Athens (ICU) and since 2010 she has a permanent organic position as a Midwife at the General Hospital of Volos. Since 2018 she participates in the Nursing Surgery training program of the General Hospital of Volos with the teaching of the course “Obstetric and Gynecological Perioperative Care” and is specialized in the care of premature newborns. She is also teaching “Midwifery Care” at the University of West Macedonia, in the Midwifery Department. She speaks English and she is a member of International Society of Global Health, European Society of Traumatic Stress Studies and Marce Society as well.
